Nami love!
While my friends have all talked about matcha years ago, it wasn’t until taking a course on chanoyu (The Tea Ceremony) at Stanford that I became deeply interested in matcha. After that, I’ve considered myself a stan in not just matcha but the entire process it represents. In my sophomore year of college I wrote my research paper on matcha and used Nami as a case study and funnily found one of the video collaborators to also be a Stanford student. I’ve appreciated Nami from afar but this was the first time that I had purchased both the Yame matcha as well as the dark roasted Hojicha. I can wholeheartedly say that these are both staples and I’m really grateful that my interest has led me to find a brand that is not only AAPI owned but run by incredible women! We love to see it!! Consider me a Nami endorser hehe

Yame and Okumidori
Both the Yame and Okumidori first harvest exude a beautiful vibrant green colour with sweet and nutty aromas. Yame has a full bodied nutty and creamy profile which works well in both a latte and usucha whilst Okumidori is medium bodied better suited for beginner matcha drinkers as it has a milder flavour profile but both left me speechless!!
