Hoshisan Rice Washing Whisk

Impulse buy...it looks cool. Works as designed.

I could just continue using my clean hand to help wash the rice but why not buy a fancy rice whisk. I am not going to say this is a needed device...it's just a unique tool that does what it is designed to do.

Rice Washing Tool and "Rice Sharpener"

I bought this rice tool without knowing much about it. After receiving the tool, I used the Android Google Lens app to translate the Japanese into English. The description was very interesting. In addition to its use in agitating the rice to clean it, the device also "sharpens" the rice. I don't understand the purpose of doing this. Its use as a rice cleaning device, however, work well, as advertised. I use a stainless steel rice washing bowl (also purchased from Global Kitchen; which I also love a lot) the clean my rice. Using the rice cleaning tool in the SS washing bowl can create some unpleasant noises. The tool does have a cool factor as its purpose cannot easily be determined by looking at it. Summary: does the job, looks cool and would recommend.
