Recon Shell Jacket

Very waterproof and functional shell. Fully taped seams, 2 way adjustable hood, full side zips with snaps at the bottom, Velcro cuffs, decently stowable hood. I'm 6'2" ~235lbs and got an XL-Long. It fits very well and allows for easy layering without being big and bulky. The fabric is not quite as premium as other options like Arc LEAF/PRO which are slightly thinner and a little less stiff. I would argue that this is just as effective and is a better value. The one thing I don't love on this jacket is that the Loop patches on the shoulders are tan which is notably lighter than the Multicam

This fits quite well, and compliments the recon base jacket as advertised. I will say that it does seem a bit thinner than i imagined, especially at this price point. But if it holds up like they claim, it is worth it. I tried it today where it was about 30 degrees and quite windy and I was perfectly comfortable with this shell over my recon base jacket. This shell blocked the chilly wind very well and I was very warm.

Quality is great. Fit is great. A little pricey but hoping this will be with me for years.
