Nice looking device, technical support lacking

My Fridge power device is well engineered, looks great and fits on the top of my refrigerator. I am having troubles making sense of the owners manual in regards to setting up the timing so I can avoid running my refrigerator during peak power times. This is supposed to be a function of the unit, but I set up the peak times and the fridge power device just ignores my times to turn on/off. I have reached out to technical support about this, but never receive a reply. I read on the internet that the sales dept always responds to emails but service dept doesn’t seem to want to respond. Hopefully I can finally figure it out

good but needs some improvements

I have a FridgePower up and running to keep my refrigerator running. But there are some points that need to be checked out: 1. It is heavy. I can understand this since it has ⅓ more capacity than the traction battery in a Toyota Prius. However how easily the model in your videos lifts it to the top of a refrigerator, it appears to be just an empty enclosure was used. 2. Also in relation to its weight and the need to shift it around to unplug and replug to do a reset, it could use a hardwired rest button. 3. The need to communicate through a server is an issue. A few weeks ago I had some app issues with it. Apparently from the discussion forum there were a number of other customers with the same problem because your server was down. This also cropped up for me yesterday and into today, simply because my internet was down. The same happened with other “smart” devices. Having spent half a century in software development, it would seem obvious to me that when the smart device and app are on the same local network, the app should be able to communicate directly with the device without the need of an internet connection to some server.

Great Unit with the Wrong Plug

The Fridge Power has a straight power plug that sticks out too far when plugged in behind and fridge I’ve ever had. Most refrigerators have a plug on the wall right behind them and the fridge backs up to those plugs pretty close. For a unit designed to be back up power for a fridge it should have a 90 degree power plug, so it doesn’t stick out so far. I had to buy a short extension cord with a 90 degree plug to make mine work.
