Aloha Hula Accessories 18" Doll Accessory Pattern

My doll is in hula heaven

I was looking for a pattern for a Holoku dress for a friend's doll. I got the pattern for that dress and loved it. When I saw the hula accessories I had to make them too. The directions were easy to find and follow. Everybody who sees the doll in her outfit just raves!!! The outfit is for the daughter of a friend who s Hawaiian and we're so excited to have her get it!

Aloha Hula Asssessories

Very good. For the grass skirt, I tend to go off pattern from time to time. I substituted an artificial material, but it worked fine. I used small flowers for the lei that worked very well. Very satisfied with the pattern and instructions.

Hula Skirt with burlap

I used strands of burlap for the skirt instead of raffia. It came out very nice. Then I glued the leaves and flowers directly to the band of the skirt instead of making a separate piece. Now I need to find a way of using the burlap that is less time-consuming.
