Fortitude GMT - Crimson Red

Love it! Fighting way above its weight class. Great Myota 9075 for true GMT function(“travellor gmt”). Good (not great) lume. All titanium! Case and bracelet. Micro adjust bracelet on the fly. Saphire crystal. Its beautiful.

Almost perfect, but...

An almost perfect daily watch, great size, thin, lightweight with a dial punching well above its price point. However there are two negatives that I haven't seen covered elsewhere that need to be mentioned: 1) There is no ultra hex (hardness coating) on the back of the case so it will scratch easily. Why? That seems like an huge oversight. 2) The hinge on the clasp is too large, meaning that no matter your wrist size the hinge rubs against the bracelet causing wear and tear as steel and titanium components scratch each other (see photos).

The Fortitude GMT in Crimson Red is my second watch from RZE, after the Endeavour in yellow- and also the only non-diver's watch in my collection. Will I like a watch without a diving bezel? The answer is a resounding yes! The bezel, which is supposed to be reminiscent of a turbine, is great. The dimensions of the watch are perfect for me. The bracelet looks great and is very comfortable to wear. I use the fine adjustment every day - very practical! The movement (my first Miyota) does a great job, about +5 seconds in 24 hours. I also like the sound when the watch is on a hard surface. And the noticeable vibrations on the wrist... you can really feel the mechanics! The crown has a strong visual presence, which I really like. But it doesn't get in the way at all (I'm left-handed and wear the watch on my right wrist) The watch has only one drawback for me so far: the Fortitude GMT-S - Silver Sunburst looks so incredibly good that I sometimes wonder whether it would have been even better!
