AIR FORCE 5th GENERATION

The Bausele AUS Air Force Edition is an absolute banger. It has that rare combination of military toughness, genuine character and just enough refinement that it doesn’t feel like another generic tool watch. The blue sunburst dial is phenomenal — almost black in certain light, then exploding into deep electric blue when it catches the sun. The oversized markers, broad hands and military-inspired layout give it serious wrist presence without looking busy or trying too hard. Add the gunmetal case, flashes of red and that beautifully unconventional crown setup and the whole thing just works. What I really love is that there’s a story behind it. The Australian Air Force connection gives the watch authenticity and personality rather than some manufactured marketing narrative. It feels purpose-built. On the wrist it looks even better than it does in photographs: rugged, distinctive and unmistakably different. In a world drowning in Submariner clones and vintage-inspired divers, Bausele actually managed to create something with its own identity. Is it subtle? Not particularly. Is it for everyone? Probably not. And that’s exactly why I love it. This is what a great microbrand watch should be: original, beautifully executed, slightly unconventional and impossible to mistake for anything else. Absolute wrist candy!
