Helpful for doubling...

Especially when clarinet is needed intermittently and the Legere responds right away. I'm experimenting with two sizes for extended play (a whole show). Seems like my 2.5 needs a rest after one set, so I switch to cane or the 2.75. Am running into more musicians using Legere comfortably. Might have to try one on my alto as well.

Shifrin and Signature

I recently purchased a Backun Shifrin Signature clarinet mouthpiece, and I have been experimenting with Legere reeds. The Signature won hands down. FYI, I chose the 3.50 strength. Perfect intonation and response from low E up through altissimo G! And this is on my vintage 1967 Selmer Series 10! WOW! Larry L Schauer
