Has a life of its own

Bought this based on some positive reviews however my scale has a life of its own and continually acts up rendering it unusable. Some days the scale will start showing weight slowly increasing when it's just sitting on the counter doing nothing, other days it will startt decreasing, again when doing absolutely nothing. I'll tare my coffee cup and before the extraction starts flowing the weight will slowly creep up and never stop. Maybe its a faulty unit, but I've given it enough chances and will be returning it and search for something else that actually works.
