French Roast Necessity

I drink 3 different cups of coffee I throughout the day and the French roast is my go-to in the late morning to after lunch. For me, a day is not complete w/out this particular flavor.

Dark roast

I was not able to drink the coffee. It is harsh compared to the Verona blend I typically drink. I have reflux and the Pure-roast was not good for my gut.

maybe i got a bad batch?

I've been loyal to Healthwise low acid coffee for many years but they are going out of business... so I thought I'd try Puroast. The package arrived leaking coffee grinds everywhere. The bag of coffee was not filled all the way up. And then the coffee itself tasted really bad! I tried making it different times with different measurements - but the outcome was the same. It tasted old. Like coffee that has been sitting in a pot for hours. So gross. I am incredibly disappointed and wondering if I possibly could have just gotten a bad batch with holes in it or something?
