Excellent pattern

This was my third WBM pants pattern I tried my hands on as I am learning to make clothes, and this one was an excellent challenge after having made several Summer Pants and Chino Pants. Loved learning to make pleats, a new way to construct side pockets, and the fit is exactly what I was looking for. The fly shield turned out to be on the small side so I made it a bit bigger to cover up the interfacing. I made these pants in linen and they came out wonderfully!

Men’s baggy trousers

This is a lovely pattern and mostly easy to follow, I loved the fact that I could chose pattern size i wanted and untick the other sizes before printing. It was great fun putting the pattern together. There were a couple of things that may have been my error but the trousers did come up bigger than the size 35” that i’d chosen so I had to increase the seam allowance to make them fit. The way the zipper went in was the best way I have ever seen a fly zipper go in, it was brilliant. But the instruction for sewing on the fly facing could have been a tiny bit clearer, I only realised that I had sewn it to the wrong side when I came to sew on the waistband so I had to unpick and reattach. I chose quite thick navy corduroy, quite hard to work with. I am definitely going to use this pattern again, with a bit of size tinkering the outcome was lovely. Thank you.
