Okita Matcha

This is like 4.5 stars. I've has it in the past and wasn't impressed but think my taste buds developed a lot since then. This one is the perfect shade of green. Creamy and umami just the way I like. Would say it isn't bitter at all like their more expensive blend.

Okita is one of the best matchas I have ever had the pleasure of trying. I tried Okita last February of 2025. It’s smooth, sweet, slightly umami, bold, and no astringency. You can use this matcha as the most delicious usucha, as well as in a latte it’s still bold. However, I do really enjoy this mostly as usucha. I love the owner, the company, and the matcha. It is pricey, but genuinely this is a matcha worth this price tag. Does not compare to any other American brand at the price. It’s a treat that i savor!
