This is a quality piece of kit — every aspect of this package is super nice! The rod tube is made of carbon with aluminum caps. I’m no expert in tenkara, but this rod casts really well. I was using a 3.5 level line at 12 feet with 2.5 feet of tippet and was able to place an unweighted kabari fly exactly where I wanted it. I also tried some beadhead nymphs, and the rod handled them beautifully.

At first I had casting troubles with my Kokoro 360. I made some line & leader changes and that, along with some casting adjustments, did the trick. Casting amazingly now! Rod is beautifully crafted, great cork, and a joy to use.

Kokoro 360

I finally had a chance to take out the Kokoro 360 last Saturday. Fishing from my kayak I used Dragontail's 16 foot floating tapered line and 5 feet of liter. I fished a yellow size 10 foam fly. The rod made very accurate fly first cast effortlessly. What a joy it was to fish with. In the 3 hours I used it I caught bluegill, green sunfish and hybrids of the two a few smallies and largemouth bass as well. The best fish of the day was an 18-inch smallmouth bass. The rod had enough flex to keep him pinned but plenty of backbone to fight with. What a great battle on this rod. I highly recommend this rod to anybody that wants to step up in quality but still have a Tenkara rod that you can get sections for in case you break it. Again what an amazing Tenkara rod!!
