Small ponds and streams

I enjoy the ease and simplicity of the rod. This is my first rod and after using it a few times I cannot go back to a reel! Pulling in fish with tenkara is super fun and I'm very happy with the Hane.

Creeks

Love my Hane rod! I bought it before a camping trip to Hat Creek and I instantly caught fish on it. I could feel the strike so much easier, I could set up and break down quickly, and I could reach the other side of the creek with ease. This rod is going to live in my backpack and I can’t wait to take it on my next hike. My husband even said, “I want one now,” after he tried it out, and caught fish - despite not being as curious about Tenkara as I have!

I got the $160 rod today and went oit togive it a try. After a few casts and some small fish the rod tip broke off. I was excited about the rod and was very disappointed.
