Nice pencil, with reservations.

I purchased this mechanical pencil because I was drawn to the orange finish shown in the product photos. In person, the color is quite a bit different than I expected—it’s more of a copper or burnt orange than the bright orange shown in the advertising. It’s still an attractive finish, just not what I was anticipating. Overall, I do like the pencil. It feels well made and has a premium look and feel. My biggest complaint is the eraser cap. It’s extremely tight and difficult to remove and reinstall. Since I use the eraser frequently throughout the day, this quickly becomes frustrating. On one occasion, the cap was so tight that when it finally came off, it pulled the entire lead mechanism out of the pencil and sent it flying across the floor. I’m hoping this improves as the pencil breaks in with use. While I enjoy using it, I do think it’s priced on the high side considering these issues. That said, it’s still a quality pencil that I’m glad to have, and if the eraser cap loosens up over time, I’ll likely enjoy it even more.
