This is my second UGREEN NAS. I originally backed the 6-bay model during the Kickstarter campaign, but at the time I wasn’t ready to dive into self-hosting, so it mostly sat unused. Eventually, I decided to sell it. Fast forward two years, and I finally jumped in with the DXP4800 Pro. Looking back, I actually don’t regret selling my first unit. If I had kept it, I probably would have filled it with smaller hard drives and ended up spending even more upgrading them later. Starting fresh allowed me to build my storage with much larger drives from the beginning. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. The build quality is top-notch, the operating system is intuitive and easy to use, and getting everything set up was much simpler than I expected. In fact, after just two weeks, I’m already upgrading with additional hard drives because I’m running out of space which says a lot about how much I’ve been enjoying it. Thank you, UGREEN, for making such a solid NAS. I can’t wait to keep expanding my setup.

About a month in and everything is running great and it’s very fun to use. I’ve been watching movies on the go and after a photoshoot I offload to the NAS, let it backup to external drive, make sure everything’s working then I’m able to free up space. I do have one issue for logging in. I cannot log into my admin account on any ugreen app. I can only login to my admin account using tailscale on a browser. I know my login information is correct because I can login there. May try the manual reset but it’s very frustrating.

Very quality product and easy to set up. Recommend the RAM upgrade and their battery back up system as it just gives you peace of mind. If only they sold the units fully maxed on the RAM instead of leaving us to upgrade it but I understand. Just sucks to have 3 8GB ram cards I have no use for after maxing out my NAS systems.
