This new Coleman Mach ceiling assembly is much smaller than my 35 year old Coleman Mach, and doesn't cover the marks on the ceiling left by the old one, which isn't a big deal. The new one isn't quite as fancy as the old one. The new one doesn't have fins that can be aimed from side to side like the old one had, and I didn't order it with a heat strip because I seldom used the heat strip in the old one. You can order a fancier unit with little vents that can be aimed any direction, but I didn't. The color of the new one is bright white but the old one was an ivory color. Both units are about the same amount of noise. The new one doesn't require any tools to take out the filters and clean them. The old one was a little annoying to get the filters out and clean them. The new one allows slightly more headroom than the old one, but I seldom hit my head on the old one even though I'm sorta tall. Don't be afraid to replace your old Coleman Mach RV air conditioner with one of these new ones. It's just as good as the old one, only different.
