Fantastic pack
Just used my new pack walking the North Norfolk Coast Path (84 miles). It was so comfortable carrying everything for camping the whole route (about 9/10 kilos). I bought 2 hip belt pockets, they are a must, great easy access storage on the move. Fully recommend this pack. Thanks Atom.

Overall a good bergen.
I got this to hike the Haute Route des Pyrenees. It contrasts sharply with my Pilgrim Mayflower which weighs nearly 3.5kg empty.
Things I didn’t like:
anything black in strong sunshine transmits the heat to the contents. Maybe a lighter colour, grey or silver.
The stretchy pockets on the shoulder straps are pretty useless for anything except holding my specs.
The side pockets might be more useful if they could be wider at the bottom, maybe with a tensioner around the base to maintain the narrow profile if needed. I found they tended to push hard things out.
I would have liked space on the shoulder straps to mount my Garmin gps - the wee stretchy things got in the way.
Could do with additional loops on the straps to allow you to dangle a front pouch more easily.
And of course, it needs to magically give a wee bit more volume.
But, you can’t have everything I suppose and the bag performed very well otherwise. Pretty comfortable even at its weight limits.

Excellent Backpack
Finally got to use the Prospector 50 in anger on the Dales way with a pack weight of up to 14 kgs. A very comfortable carry with really useful features, especially the handy front strap bottle pockets. Put it through its paces and found it to be robust especially considering the light weight. Couldn’t fault it and I have used many packs. Great build quality, well balanced and very stable. Overall really happy with the pack and looking forward to the next trip along Hadrians Wall to Carlisle and down the Cumbria Way. Delivery was very quick and overall customer service experience was also excellent. Went for a fitting and got to try on a pack for size. The pack was just as comfortable as during the fitting. Email queries were answered promptly, great friendly service. Would definitely recommend both Atom packs and the Prospector 50. I’ve become a bit of a regular customer :)
