Carbon Steel Wok

Bought into the hype

I was quite excited for this Wok. The fact that it was endorsed and developed with J. Kenji López-Alt, had my expectations through the roof. The flat bottom made it perfect for my electric stove, and the lid was something I've always had to purchase separately for my other woks, so it was a nice addition. Sadly with most products with great marketing. . . they don't tend to live up to the hype. I wanted to love this Wok. But after a few simple cooks with it, I felt quite disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the quality of the steel feels nice and sturdy, although bit heavier than advertised (Description says 3. 1lbs, on my scale it sits at 3. 36lbs) I've washed it immediately after every cook, and reseasoned it but no matter what I do, food still sticks! Quite frustrating to say the least. Not really a major point, but the handle is already showing signs of wear even though this wok is my least used and does not sit in the sink, so take that for what you will. Maybe you'll have better luck with your's. But I definitely regret this purchase.

Most amazing wok ever!

This wok is outstanding. It is pricey but truly a quality piece of cookware that we will have for a long time. My old wok always imparted a slightly metallic taste to my stir fry, despite regular cleaning. My food now tastes perfect. I use less oil and it cleans up like a dream. It’s the best!

Perfect Wok

This is the best Wok I have ever owned. I highly recommend this Wok. I would like the option to purchase extra wood spatula
