Only one thing missing!
A patch or water bottle sticker to show off my love for this pack! I will update my review once I have used it for my next long hike so far it fits all my needs.

Incredible Pack!
I am typically a paddler, so when I was asked to hike sections of the Appalachian Trail, finding a pack was second only to finding a good pair of hiking shoes. I have to confess that I had not heard of Six Moon Designs until my research kept surfacing the Flight 30 as being the best option for me so I look a leap of faith based on the specs and positive reviews. I can't provide much insight into how it compares to other packs on the market, but I am extremely happy with it! I purchased the vest harness, and while it did take a little fussing to get all of the straps dialed in between this and the hip belt, the fit when I was finished was incredible - very comfortable and almost zero sloppy movement in any direction even when the pack was full. It's got tons of pockets to store things for quick access (phone, gloves, snacks, etc.), clips to hold accessories like a Garmin and straps/lashing cord to keep the pack compressed when carrying less... a very, very thoughtful design. I will also call out their customer service, I made a mistake and ordered the wrong size hip belt, Serena made the exchange process as easy as it gets. Five stars for both the Flight 30 and Six Moon Designs!

Great fit, great overall, needs a few things
I've only taken it out for a few day-long jaunts (bike + trek / run) so far, and really love the pack overall. The fit and comfort of the vest system is fantastic--plus the utility of the vest and hip belt pockets is outstanding. The simplicity of the main pack is fantastic too, but I'll project my desire for three accoutrements to make it a solid 5-star...maybe it's a different pack then, who knows?! (a) A smallish, probably zippered (but maybe just fold-over) pocket inside the pack, across from the hydration bladder bag, to hold small items that you just don't need on the harness and including a key ring clip, would be great. (b) Some method of attaching (smallish) external pockets above the base side pockets, whether it's small webbing strips or velcro patches (tricky for a running pack), would be great to have place for intermediate access items like first aid and water filters. Main body can be annoying to dig through, and the base pockets are generally used. (c) An option for a lid pocket, especially if it could be attached to the (removable) hip belt to make a nice little hip bag...with the two hip belt pockets it could be just the right size for side jaunts that don't require the full bag but need more than just pockets. (Note in the Backpack Use question below, it would be day hiking, packrafting, bikepacking, adventure racing, and other such mixes.)
