This pack is exactly what I need for short hikes and as a personal item on flights. It's also super light and just as well made as my other Gossamer gear packs. I love it with the fast belt! Highly recommend. And it's budget friendly.

I bought this pack to replace a clambshell style day pack that I had worn out. To bring to work at a ski resort for carrying lunch and extra warm clothes. And as an all around day pack. In addition I can comfortably fit, and carry everything I will need to hike the Via de la Plata next year. A hike of around 700mi. In Spain from Cadiz to Santiago. This a well designed pack and it has been comfortable for day hikes.
