Fast Kumo 36 Fastpack

Very nice pack. Hope it lives up to the hype.

My first Gossamer pack was the Mariposa 60. I have made two 10 day trips on the AT and that is the best pack I’ve ever used. I am heading to Europe in a few weeks and needed a day pack for touring around Europe so I bought the Fast Kumo 36 Fastpack. It looks like I will be satisfied with this pack just like the Mariposa 60 so I’m excited to use it soon.

I absolutely love this pack. It fits my short torso perfectly. Yet to perfect the “be bold, start cold” mantra, I love the fact that I can easily stow away my gloves, hat, jacket, and any other layer I need to shed in the main compartment. As a Hike Leader, I usually carry the “stuff” others don’t. This pack holds it all and feels great on. My only wish is that the opening for a hydration tube was wider. Yes, I do use a water bladder. I’m going to have to enlarge that opening somehow…and scissors will be involved.
