Sunny experience by the ocean

I purchased several samples by Maison Violet and something curious happened. While on paper Rivage was my favorite, on my skin the top place was for Nuee Bleue instead. Rivage is a coastal experience, a la Wood Sage and Sea Salt. Not because they smell similarly, of course. But both fragrances put me near the ocean. While Wood Sage & Sea Salt creates a cloudy, sort of gloomy day in my experience, Rivage provides the sunny day in a fresh, green field on a cliff overlooking the ocean. On the fence about buying a FB yet. But its quality is undeniable. Absolutely worth sampling.

A beautiful herbal, floral-aquatic fragrance creation by Nathalie Lorson for Maison Violet. Rivage’s opening notes are so fresh and bright with breeze swept lavender & mint along with vibrant Mandarine. Soft shoreline Aquatic notes and Violet leaf round out the mid-notes so naturally while Iris and Sandalwood provide the most serene base for this fresh coastal fragrance. It’s a soft yet refreshing, totally unisex blend of notes. Maison Violet is a fine fragrance House that has a lovely repertoire of niche fragrances represented on Scent-Split that are truly unique and crafted by the finest of master perfumers.

Very Underrated

Love this fragrance! It is a perfect fresh winter scent that really does scream costal elegance. Sometimes come winter time I get sick of all the cozy gourmands, so this is a great option to go a bit lighter. It also does great in warm weather too! Super versatile. Great performance as well. Cannot recommend enough! I just love this house! High quality materials, excellent performance, just top! I also own Un Air d’Apogée which is also fantastic. Do yourself a favor and try out some Maison Violet fragrances and I think you’ll be surprised. (Reasonably priced for a niche house too!
