Great for drum hits
I put this in every drum track, kicj in, kick out, snare bottom, snare top, toms and sometimes on electric hits.
Then I add one more at the drum bus to shape the whole kit.

That classic SSL SOUND
And it's got an LMC+ button for your Genesis needs. Maybe wait until there's a bundle discount on Vocal, Guitar, and Drums, for $40 as there often is. Otherwise, grab it up, a staple in my sessions.

Solid, Controlled Drum Shaping with a Classic SSL Feel
SSL Drumstrip feels more restrained and musical than some modern “all-in” drum processors. Compared to heavier tools like Melda Drumstrip, the high end is smoother and less aggressive, while the low end comes forward in a controlled way. On drum buses, it adds weight and cohesion without instantly turning everything hyped.
The compressor is the highlight for me. Even with modest settings, the drums stay together when pushing the fader up, especially on toms and drum buses. Gating can be a bit strong by default, but once dialed back it becomes usable and predictable.
I don’t see it as a replacement for more extreme processors. Instead, it works very well as a first or middle stage: shaping tone and dynamics, then letting other plugins handle character or impact. For clean, solid drum control with an SSL character, Drumstrip does its job well.
