Applewood Smoked Ozark Bacon

Great for BLT, not so much for bacon and eggs

I think because it comes from the pork shoulder rather than the belly, the taste was somewhat unconventional (for me) for a traditional bacon and eggs breakfast. It's way leaner than traditional bacon and it was mildly smoked, so you don't get that oomph of smoked bacon taste that usually comes with bacon. It was superb, however, on a BLT we made for lunch. It's subtlety smoked and has thick pieces that played well with the Romaine lettuce and tomato.

Did not disappoint. Prepared for guests and they raved about meatiness and taste!

The Ozark bacon is great!!

I wasn’t sure exactly what to think when I got the package because of the size and looks of it. Not like “regular” bacon!! It is so tasty and one piece is great for a BLT! It’s also great with eggs!! I love being able to enjoy this straight from farmer Joe!!
