I love the fit and comfort of the shoe. The laces are the best and the rubber on the sole is great. I do find the quality to be 4/5 stars - they seem to wear faster than my other shoes.

I’ve always been kind of skeptical of Black Diamond shoes but after trying TC pros and finding they hurt my achilles I decided to give these a chance. To my surprise these shoes were by far the best of the trad oriented shoes I tried on. They fit the shape of my toes really well and are overall very comfortable.
The best feature is probably how thin the toes are. They’re thinner than TC pros and way thinner than Evolvs or Scarpas. It’s a massive advantage to be able to get a decent jam in a thin crack. After break in I’d say they softened up a bit and overall these smear better than TC pros but edge a bit worse. I sized them to have just a tiny bit of toe bend and after break in my toe is pretty flat in the shoes and they are pretty close to an all day comfort fit while still performing well.
The ribbed laces are also pretty sweet. Easy to adjust tension in different areas of the shoe and they pop on and off so much easier than TC pros. Overall I’m shocked how much I like these and I’d recommend them for sure.

Probably one of the best fitting shoes out of the box I’ve ever tried. I’ve tried the other trad specific shoes and they just kill my feet but these are butter. I got a more aggressive fit (which is street size-0.5 size smaller) , they do hurt after having them on for 2 pitches but I’m still breaking them in. Rubber is pretty sticky, lacing system is amazing, quite low profile toe box for the style of shoe so work nicely on finger cracks. One minus is they’re definitely a bit softer than tc pros so not as comfortable in foot jams or standing on small edges for a long time.
