Very Decent Work Horse

The Drago LV has been one of the most surprising shoes I’ve tried. It’s super lightweight, aggressively shaped, and has that soft rubber feel that makes it really good for steep climbing and anything that needs precision. The fit actually contours to my foot really well, but I did notice a hotspot around my middle toe during the first few sessions. I’ve learned that the way you put the shoe on really matters—if I slip it on with my toes already slightly pointed or stiffened, it goes on way cleaner and avoids that uncomfortable pressure. Once I figured that out, the shoe became much more comfortable than I expected, even for longer sessions and multi-pitch days. The softness of the upper and the lack of a rigid midsole make the break-in feel pretty quick. When I size them down or really crank the strap, I get excellent power transfer in fully extended toe positions, which helps a ton on overhangs and technical edging. Overall, the Drago LV feels like a high-performance shoe that still manages to be wearable for long climbs—as long as you take the time to put it on properly and give it a little break-in period. It’s definitely a shoe I’d keep in my rotation for both comfort and precision.
