Online response was helpful on advising between M and L, I went with M. I am 6’-0”, 175 lbs. The coat is warm, and with light base and mid layers very warm, a heavy sweater underneath might be a bit bulky. This coat for me is daily wear/walking and not for winter aerobic activity.
The left upper outer pocket tracks up to the shoulder but it works, this pocket and zipper could placed a tad lower. An inside zip pocket in addition to the inner lower left pocket would be nice. The lower arm sleeves are somewhat tight and should be 1-2 inches larger in circumference and the wrist opening could be a bit larger. Spent most of my life in ND and live in Minneapolis area now, I have several different types of winter coats.

Very well-made, extremely warm, and suitable for both the woods and the city. I am 5'11', 200 lbs; the Large fits perfectly -- stylish and very practical. Highly recommend.
