Highly recommended onion variety!
We loved this Cartier onion variety from Territorial last year. Really, really excellent long storage without any special treatment. The bulbs were harvested in late July. Since then, they have rested in an old box in my laundry room. It's March, and they still look robust and healthy. The new 2026 seeds have sprouted well, and the slips look perfect.

Excellent germination, looking good so far
I’ve not grown these to bulb, so I can only attest to their excellent germination and vigorous starts as seedlings. I started my seeds November 30 and approaching two months old, they’re looking to be winners. I purchased this variety due to its excellent storage capacity. I live in zone 8b, western Washington. Excited to harvest these this summer. Here they are alongside the Cortland, which I grew last year. Another great long-day variety for the PNW.

Cartier Onion seeds
So far I am pleased with the Cartier onion seeds. They germinated and grew to planting size quickly. I started them in early Feb. and set them out in the garden in March. The tops are growing well and large now that the weather has warmed in April. I'm waiting for bulbing to start after June. I Will up-date my review at harvest.
