Hinged Hemmer Foot (1/8", 3/16", 1/4") for Singer Slant Needle (Slant Shank) Machines

Fits my machine and is easy to use

I found that I had to pre-roll the part of the hem that gets tucked under. Videos of using the hemmer foot show that the fabric can just go in flat and the foot itself tucks the fabric under. Either I need more practice or there's something not quite right with the foot I received. Serendipitously, another how-to video I found showed 2 identical feet, one that worked and one that didn't because of a manufacturing defect. I wonder...
