My second one. First one had an unexpected and tragic encounter with a campfire.

Lightweight Jacket/Feathers Escaping/Short on Features
Overall I'm disappointed with the quality and structure of this jacket. Sure, it's light and compact, and pretty warm. I really like the soft fabric. And the price wasn't ridiculous. However, I had to buy an XL instead of a large so that the shoulders and armpits wouldn't be too tight (they were in the large, my normal size). But that means the body is boxy and a little large on me just to get the shoulders and armpits right. My wife had to send two jackets back because of the tight armpits. Also, feathers are creeping out through the seams, especially on the arms. I've never seen a down jacket lose feathers so fast. There is no zippered chest pocket, and no inside pocket(s), and the two hand pockets don't have even a think fleece lining, and no soft, thin fleece in front of the chin either. Below the two front hand pockets, in the bottommost baffles, the down is very thin and those baffles are nearly empty of any feathers. I may be able to shift some of the down so it fills up those sections, but maybe not. My wife bought a Stio Hometown down jacket instead (20% off of the $329 regular price, BTW), and sure it's 4 ounces heavier than the Tincup, but her jacket isn't losing down (it has much beefier seams) and it has all of the creature comfort features that most $300 lightweight down jackets have. You also can't try on a Katabatic jacket, since they don't have storefronts. My wife and I did a lot of returning to find out (for her) that the jacket just didn't fit well. I like the three colors, but more options would be great. I will use this jacket for a family gap year next year until it loses all of its down, since I likely can't return it after using it, so wish me luck staying warm.
