tastes as good as it smells
honestly, most coffee smells wonderful when roasted and ground, but then it tastes acidic or bitter or somehow deficient when brewed. but when we toured the Kauai coffee plantation and tasted the brews, we found the coffee that tastes as good as it smells. that was in 2019 during our 10th anniversary trip to Hawaii and we've exclusively bought Kauai coffee ever since.
I mistakenly ordered 5 lbs of espresso roast the most recent time and I'm relieved to report that it's no different in deliciousness. we grind it a lot more coarsely than the medium roast to compensate for the deeper flavor.

It is the best coffee ihave ever found. I have traveled extensively around the world, and have not discovered kauai’s coffee equal. I have visited the shop in kauai over a dozen times, and always left with all i can carry!!
