Pro Smoker Classic 100 S

Great smoker.

This smoker is very well made. I was impressed with the quality of the cabinet and parts. The only problem is the wi fi quit working after the first use. We contacted your company and got a really nice lady that knew just what the problem was. It seems like there were some faulty circuit boards used. She shipped us a new circuit board that will be here today and I’m sure that will solve the problem. I would recommend this smoker and your company to anyone. There is a little bit of a learning curve , but that’s the fun part. It definitely has the capability to make a much better product than my old propane smoker.

Pro Classic 100 S

I purchased the Pro Classic 100 S as an upgrade to my PK100 Smoker that is about 12 years old and has served me well. The new features that are very great are the increase in the burner size to 1450 watts. The new damper system is an improvement. The bottom damper sticking out past the wall of the smoker makes it easier to adjust that damper. I feel that I have better control of the top damper with the new one. I have figured out that when making snack sticks after I get the sticks up to my desired temp of 156 F. that if I open the dampers wide open and let the smoker go. The temp of my sticks will drop to less than 120F. This seems to do a great job of drying and cooling my sticks and they are greatly improved in consistency and tightness of the casings. Buy taking the top damper right off it opens up the volume of airflow through the smoker. It took me a while to adjust to the new controls but they are fine now. The Blue Tooth will help even more. So far my experience has been positive.

So far not so great

The smoker overall by itself seems to be pretty good. As others have stated the protective film they use on the stainless is a pain to remove, but my unit was scratch free so it works. I have do I have a few negatives to say about it though. The first is the controller dial is essentially useless. I will move it a couple clicks to set the temp and it will jump from 80 to 140 to 90 to 135 and so on there is no pattern and is basically impossible to set the temp without the app. My next gripe is the smoker takes a long time to come to temp in both smoke and cook mode but it is just a single heating unit for a good sized cabinet, so i can live with that it was just unexpected. My final and big concern is that the top door latch broke before i could even use the smoker. One of the rivets holding the handle in place broke and makes the top latch basically useless. I emailed support on the 16th of December with the photos i have attached here explaining the issue and have yet to receive a response on how to fix the issue or even an acknowledgment that it occurred. Its frustrating that there are two big issues (controller and broken latch) with a product I spent $1600 on and can't even get a response from the company. This is my first experience with the company and its not a great one thats for sure.
