Idaho back country first time use

I really liked this tent overall. I used it on a four-day backcountry hunt in Idaho with a friend, and we moved camp twice during the trip. The tent performed well and was a great shelter for that kind of hunt. My biggest mistake was not reading the instructions beforehand. It wasn’t immediately clear that the stove jack material at the top needs to be cut for the stovepipe. Fortunately, I was able to message a friend with my Garmin and get clarification, but I think that step could be made more obvious in the setup instructions. I also wish I had purchased the nest floor insert before the trip, as it would have made the setup even better. My main criticism is the stakes. They don’t seem quite sturdy enough for backcountry use. We broke one during the initial setup and ended up breaking a total of three stakes over the course of the trip. Despite those little hiccups, I am very happy with the tent!

Solid solitude

I recently purchased the solitude 4 tipi in silnylon and the half nest. I am beyond impressed with the build quality. So far I’ve only set up the tent in my yard to become familiar with it but I’m looking forward to using it on a bear hunt with my wife next week!

Excellent tent

This is an excellent tent. Used it this weekend in strong winds and heavy snow. The tent handles wind and snow exceptionally well. Combined with the torrid stove that unfortunately had a few issues it was the most comfortable winter/early spring camping experience I've ever had. The quality is top notch. Pitching is easy and intuitive. The only issue was the slight warping of the stove panels which was a real annoyance .
