Amazing lights and customer service
I have nothing but praise for the Outbound Lights. They are a great mix of reasonable cost (relative to their competitors), durability and performance. I’ve used them for night MTB races to commuting and they continue to perform flawlessly. And when I’ve had questions or concerns, the crew at Outbound as incredibly responsive at handled every query promptly.

Good option for rising through the night
Finally had a chance to put my outbound detour to the test. Lost my last light on a gnarly gravel ride (mount broke) and needed something sturdy and capable of long run time. The light would have to get me through my first 600km brevet, so it had to have good output, battery life, and absolutely support pass-through charging. Fittingly, I saw the outbound detour recommended in the Randonneuring subreddit and decided to give it a shot. No regrets. Not a cheap light by any means, but I mean that in all senses of the word. This thing is sturdy, robust, and well designed. It stay firmly mounted where I set it and even on the lowest setting for me through the night. The button is easy to hit and the charging port location made it easy to hook up a battery pack and keep it topped off. Looking forward to more night rides now to dodge this summer heat!

BRIGHT AND Courteous!
I use the Detour for dusk rides around the city of Birmingham, AL. It's very visible and bright. The best feature is that unlike my fellow riders' lights, this thing will not blind unsuspecting riders, bystanders, or drivers. There is a distinct line of illumination that keeps everyone safe! ...also, if Outbound offers discounts to replace Portal lights for idiots who can't find them after weeks of intense searching, I hope they will let me know!
