Great plant, ordering again for this year
I got a Dragonfly transplant last year. Did great: grew well, produced well, had a nice pepper flavor. We enjoyed it fresh and cooked. The plant had enough peppers on it near the end of the season that it fell over! Totally my fault for not providing enough support (I'm used to growing smaller pepper plants like shishitos that only need minimal support). I've ordered more transplants for this year.

Grown the last two years
The Dragonfly pepper plant has done well for us the last two years we've grown them in our raised bed garden. The peppers are a little on the small side but tangy and more flavorful than anything you would buy at the grocery store. We've been quite happy with our harvests!

Solid pepper
Pros - Beautiful color! - Very large, thick walled peppers - No disease, pest or sunscald issues - Productivity was about average or slightly above,, so still a plus. Cons - It was really hard to tell when this pepper was ripe. I picked a whole bunch of them too early, and they were terribly bitter. Don't make the same mistake! Let these sit until they are as big as a box pepper and start to turn a little greenish yellow in spots (or in some cases, almost pink?). - The flavor was middling. Not bad, but pretty mild. Just green-peppery, not too sweet. Maybe they'd get sweeter if left to ripen longer. Not sure I'd grow it again, with better options out there, but if you want big, healthy purple peppers for the looks and taste of a regular green pepper, this beauty might be YOUR jam. If I was stuck with only this pepper seed for a season, I wouldn't be unhappy about it. They are a solid plant, and a solid pepper, good for salads, sautee, and also for pickling!
