Really nice tarp for modular setups, but not perfect.
I am using this in conjunction with my Katabtic pinon bivy, and it's a sturdy dyneema tarp at a good price, especially when on sale. I like that both doors include the magnetic toggle, and that there are two interior loops to clip my bivy into. The height is why I switched over to this, and at 6'1 I am able to sit upright inside which is a huge plus.
For the negatives, it mainly comes down to the vents. For one, they aren't able to be opened or closed- no Velcro to seal and no stiff "kickstand" to keep it open like the Durston. There is just a stiff plastic which creates a semi-circle at the vent, and that's it. I am genuinely worried about getting caught in a storm with this and having water come in. I might have to add some Velcro, which I really don't want to do. Secondly, the vents are filled with bug netting, which is unnecessary for a stand-alone tarp and prevents optimal airflow. Just an overall confusing approach to vents.
Overall I still like the design and will be taking it on the CDT with me next month. Fingers crossed the vents work better than anticipated and don't let too much water in!

Colorado Trail Bound!
This sweet shelter is headed out to Utah with me in May and on the Colorado Trail in June! I plan to pair it with a UL bivy on the CT. As someone who likes to cowgirl camp as much as possible, I like the flexibility it gives me to carry a shelter without much weight penalty. And I love the amount of space and headroom!

Light but small
Incredibly light, packs small, and well made, but must really only be for thru hikers. I’m 6’ and don’t fit well without fabric nearly on my face and def on my feet- bivvy required. I also find the fabric at the door tough to get taught and low to the ground. Need to go bigger for sleeping and gear storage.
