When first I took them from the box to try on, it was an awkword moment: they're goig to be too small! But no, just that the strings were too tight making it hard to allow the feet to enter. So I backed the 54" white strings way back, put the shoes on, and retied. A bit of a nuisance as the strings did not slip thru easily. The solution is to use slightly smaller strings that move easily thru the lace holes. Once on and retied, they were very comfotable - a casual elegance. I will never wear them with a suit or a neck tied shirt - strictly day wear, sort of jazz-on-the-terrace formal. One caveat: choose another color for the replacement strings. There's too much white presence with the rather loud white soles. Otherwise, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great Style

Pretty narrow and not the most comfortable. Leather tongue is very flimsy. Laces are too short. Style is nice though.
