Some of the bulbs looked like a different variety
The Romanian garlic I ordered grew great over the winter & spring. Living in southern Tennessee I plant the garlic in November/December. I just used some of the garlic to make pickles and I noticed that some of the Romanian garlic I planted last fall doesn’t look like red Romanian garlic. Maybe some other garlic variety made it into the bag. Not sure since I’m not an expert on identifying garlic but it looks that way to me. I attached a photo I took yesterday. I prefer the Romanian garlic because it seems to store better than other varieties in the Tennessee heat & humidity. Would be great to get some feedback from a Territorial Seed rep. Thx

Romanian Red
This is the best tasting garlic I have ever grown! It doesn't produce as much as some of the other varieties but it makes it up in flavor. My local farmers market grows this makes garlic sauce out of it and it is my favorite hot sauce EVER!

ONE TOUGH GARLIC
Over the years, I have grown over 35 varieties of garlic. Romanian Red is one of the few that I plant on a regular basis. It is a hardy garlic and the cloves are very large. One thing to remember, a pound of large cloves will not produce as many plants as the smaller clove garlic. That large size is worth it when it's time to clean the cloves.
