I have known of the Gunter Wilhelm knives for some time. They are amazing knives for the price and beautifully designed. The cookware surprised me in that it too had such design and craftsmanship in construction. I gave up all of my other cookware and shifted to the stainless steel frying pan and now the large stock pot. Both have the same 10in self-standing lid with window and steam port. The lids can hang on the pans on a rack and always be handy for use. I do not know of another company that offers this feature. It has saved me from having to search for lids that get stored out of the way of the cooking area. The self-standing lids are so convenient to free up both hands when cooking and adding to the hot pan or pot. In addition, their pot has thermal grips so you can maneuver a hot pot instantly, without looking for a mitt or bar towel.
