Tried my new spiral upcut router bit first rattle out of the bag fresh off the delivery van. Used it to cut 20 each, 8" circles in various hardwoods. Worked like a dream, with fast cuts (3 passes thru 3/4" stock), no burning, and a very clean line top and bottom. A vast improvement over my tired old straight bit. I was getting a lot of burning and raggedness, even with an agonizingly slow feed rate. I got almost none of that from the spiral bit, and a much faster feed rate as well. Highly recommended!
