MicroJig dovetail base ratchet clamps are GREAT!

The MicroJig® MatchFit, model # DVC-700 RAP, are great dovetail base ratchet clamps that coordinate perfectly for use with the dovetail MicroJig® MatchFit system. This all-metal body clamp with its adjustable no-mar plastic clamp pad, weighs only 1.2 pounds but can really stand up to all the clamping and hold down challenges put to it. A nice added feature about this ratcheting clamp is that you can increase the holding power of the clamp, with one solid ratchet click at a time for the individualized and necessary holding force you need for your specific project. This clamp has a 2 1/2" throat by 7” clamp length capacity for a nice sturdy holding ability of the work piece while the ratcheting mechanism allows for quick tightening/loosening of the clamp mechanism itself. Two years ago, I made a sliding table saw sled by using the MicroJig MatchFit™ Dovetail Groove System. I used the MicroJig® 14-degree dovetail bit and my handheld router with a movable fence to create an accurate 3 5/8 x 3 5/8” multiple square box dovetail groove design on the top side of a 30” wide by 21” high, sheet of 3/4" thick piece of Baltic birch plywood. I installed two running rails on the bottom side of this sliding table saw sled and it has worked great for cutting wood to size especially when sliding the MicroJig® MatchFit, model # DVC-700 RAP ratcheting clamps in the dovetail grooves to securely hold my project wood. This is another great MicroJig® product that has many great features and benefits for the woodworker!
