Rather than pay for a double batch as recommended, I made a yeast starter, which I've done successfully many times to multiy my yeast. Fermentation eas sluggish at best, and without frequent "sloshing" produced very little co2. Concerned, I bought a second package and used my starter and the fresh second package in my hopslam clone. Fermentation was never particularly vigorous and stalled at around 1.02 sp. gr.

I’m a novice brewer. The first atemp at brewing Dead Ringer IPA failed — there was no fermentation even though I followed all instructions and did good sanitization. It was the yeast. I tried again using the A07 Flagship yeast and got good fermentation though I still haven’t bottled my second batch. Like I said, I’m still a novice, so I don’t know how qualified I am to write this review.
