Perfect for what I need
I’ve been absolutely loving my Matador Air prescription cycling sunglasses with the photochromic lens - especially through the winter riding season. These glasses have genuinely changed how I ride: I can start in bright afternoon sun and finish in near-darkness without ever swapping eyewear. The photochromic lenses adapt beautifully to changing light conditions, keeping my vision clear and comfortable from bright trails to shady backroads. Fit and comfort are excellent. The semi-rimless shield design feels incredibly lightweight on long rides, and the grip stays secure even when I’m pushing hard or getting a little damp. The prescription integration is sharp and precise - no distortion, and the optics stay crisp throughout the day. I also appreciate how the Matador Air frames are designed to work well with a helmet and airflow - it all feels very thoughtfully engineered. The only minor downside is the wait time since they’re custom made, but in my case it was absolutely worth it.

They do everything I wanted them to do.
Crisp optics. Have not fogged up except on stops. Don’t slip down. Four guys in my club have now ordered them

The perfect sport glasses
Recently had to start prescription glasses again after LASIK many years ago. I wear the Bartons on a daily basis, and wanted something with a bit more grip, less weight, more neck comfort cycling, and why not, something I could take gravel riding between sunny and tree-shaded paths. I got the photochromic lenses, and oh my, I'm never going back. My buddies need to take their sunglasses off when we enter the tree-shaded areas when gravel riding, but not me! I even wear them on the trainer and treadmill indoors, as they become pretty much clear. In full sun, I get plenty of protection right away. The grip on the nose-piece is just perfect. Perfection.
