Frost Waxy Commander Cap Toe
Great boot! Solid sturdy construction and very interesting leather. I don’t see this type of leather on many other boots and it will be a patina monster for sure!

Exceeded expectations!
I grabbed these boots on sale. I could not be happier for the money that I spent. They’re also built on a really comfortable last. I have diesel boots which are built on the same last I believe and those are just as comfortable. The leather is great and builds patina immediately! Grant stone is hard to beat if you like the styles they offer.

Unresolved Durability Issue and Poor Customer Service
I purchased a pair of Frosted Wax Commander boots and wore them about eleven times before noticing a slice or separation in the leather at the ball of the left boot, a primary flex point. The flaw only became visible as the wax coating naturally wore during normal use. I contacted Grant Stone multiple times and sent photos, explaining that this was a structural durability concern, not a cosmetic issue. Their responses repeatedly insisted this was normal “veining” in the leather and suggested roughing up the surface, which only made the separation more visible. They offered an exchange and sent a link to start the process, but I never received the shipping label or any follow-up, and the exchange was never completed. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue, I do not have a replacement pair, a store credit, or any other resolution. This experience has left me dissatisfied with Grant Stone’s customer service and how they stand by their product. As a boot collector, I would normally purchase more boots from them, but after this experience, I cannot trust their quality control or support. I am disappointed that a serious durability concern at a critical flex point was treated as cosmetic, and that my efforts to resolve it were ignored.
