Shadowlight Carbon 60 Backpack

I look forward to using the Shadowlight on the Superior Hiking Trail

Rodents ate through one of the shoulder straps of my last light pack, so I was looking for a replacement. Outside Magazine gave this one a stellar review, so I gave it a try. I took it on a 7 mile hike first with my daypack load. The bladder fits easily into the hanging compartment and it rides easily with a light load. On the pack's second outing, I loaded my full backpacking kit which is 15.5 pounds baseweight and took another 7 miler. Still rode well, though there was a brief spell where the lower part of the belt wouldn't clasp. I look forward to using the Shadowlight on my next big trip this fall!

Great pack

I have used a lot of Outdoor Vitals clothing and another pack. Very pleased with all their gear. I have not used this pack yet but love the fit and design. Looking forward to using it at just under 2 pounds. Leo

Wonderful Pack - VERY light!

I just got back from my first hike using the Shadowlight Carbon 60, and it performed like a dream. The standout feature is the full-length exterior zipper, which made it incredibly easy to access my gear without unpacking the entire pack on the trail. That was a real game changer. My only hope is that the zipper proves to be durable over the long term. The only minor drawback was that the back panel got a little warmer than I expected, but it wasn't enough to significantly impact my overall impression. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the weight, comfort, and functionality of this pack. I highly recommend it.
