Sweatshirt

The sweatshirt has a good feel and a good look. However, I felt that the sweatshirt was surprisingly short in the body. The arms were fine, but the body of the sweatshirt was at least two to three inches shorter than any other sweatshirt that I have. I did not get the feeling that it was that short by the pictures on the website.

I bought the eggplant in 2024, and I got teal in 2025. The eggplant one still looks great and I’m really excited about my new teal color! These are my favorite sweatshirts in the winter. They are so thick and warm. My only complaint is that they do start to pill. However, that seems to be the case with most natural fabrics. I’m sure if I hand washed it and line dried it every time, it would never pill. However, I’m lazy and I put it in the washer and in the dryer and, yes, it pills and it probably shortens the life, but it’s easy and it’s not polyester so I’m still looking forward to getting a new one in 2026. {{ This is my Christmas present to myself the last couple years :) }} Actually, I have another complaint! I would love for the sweatshirt and sweatpants to come in the rouge red color. Our town’s mascot is the cardinal so of course we all wear red and I would love to be able to get a simply merino sweatsuit in red!!!!

Stay with your regular size

I am typically a small in tops but opt for mediums in sweatshirts for a little extra room for layering. But I needed the small top in this, the medium looked frumpy and was just too long in the sleeves. Opt on the smaller side in my opinion. I will say it feels more like a shirt vs sweatshirt, but it is still very warm! Love simply merino!
