Different fit than expected
Rust color is really pretty. The pacific blue is similar to French blue or Wedgewood blue. The eggplant shade is gorgeous as well I love all the colors. Scrolling photos shows both more and less hip coverage. These have the lesser amount of side coverage that is depicted, and the elastic is tight and binding at the inner leg area. I am a 32 in jeans, apple-bodied, and i have the high rise undies in Large, which relax a lot in fit throughout a day of wearing until the leg openings gap open slightly by the end of the day. I got a Large in the swim, but due to tight leg I opted to remove all the stitching and elastic with a seam ripper, and ended up with two pieces exactly the size and cut of the high waist underwear, since swim is double layered (with one having the additional gusset attached). These are literally knit and cut out the same as the underwear except you lose a couple inches of coverage where they fold down the waist, and fold in the leg openings to stitch down the strong elastic. With the double layer, I’d be concerned about sand getting trapped in the knit and collecting between the layers of fabric and having to cut it open to get it out (i frequently have to cut open the gusset linings on my swimwear for this reason). I’m handy with a sewing machine so I was happy to get a couple underwear out of it with some sewing. Next time I’ll get a size down on the single layer underwear so they're snug and try wearing those for a swim instead. If you’re more concerned with modesty and things staying put, you will really like these. If you have a fuller upper thigh, you may want to try sizing up for comfort and less digging in.

The best swim suit I've ever owned!
Scoured the entire internet for a natural fibre bathing suit and this was by far the best thing I found! was so stoked to buy from a local BC company too! Whoever said you need synthetic swimwear was lying. The wool doesn't get that sticky suffocating feeling when wet, and I find myself wearing my wet suit (these bottoms plus the supportive top) the whole time I'm at the beach. It's so comfortable and flattering on my postpartum tummy. I will absolutely be buying another couple of these because I never want to wear anything else!

Perfect!
These swim bottoms come in the most beautiful, Rich colors. Bottoms have a little bit of compression and a high waist which I like. I haven’t had the chance to wear in my saltwater pool as of yet, but I have a one piece from last year that is wonderful in the water and I anticipate these bottoms will be the same.
