The perfect casual pants!
I was able to grab the small blacks, even though the smalls sold out within hours. (I was not so lucky with the olive color) They run large and I was luckily able to exchange the small for an XS, which is a perfect fit. Still no olive though. These have more structure and weight that the thin Athleta Brooklyn pants, which were the performance pants I wore before the Canyon. At 5’2” the length was perfect. There is ease in the legs with a slight stretch but they never stretch out of shape even after multiple wears over many days. They will be perfect for travel as well as an everyday pant. They are nice enough that I don’t feel or look like I’m wearing a performance fabric. A win all around! Now if I could just snag an XS in olive!

Mash up needed
I’ll start by saying that I own and love the original Canyon pants despite some of their issues, which are the same issues Wool& seems to have with ALL of their pants. I haven’t been able to find a pair of Wool& pants that fit my waist w/o looking like I have giant saddlebag hips or fit my athletic butt (thank you, Caroline Girvan & hip thrusts) without squeezing me to death around the waist. My guess is their designers are young 20-something ladies and the Wool& demographic skews to mid-life women (I’m 52) who, even if not larger, have different body shapes than 20-something young women. Anyways, regarding the new Canyon pants…the fabric is great. I love the original fabric, but this is nice, too. They did seem to improve the fit around the butt & thighs somewhat, but I’m still being strangled around my 33” waist in a medium. I’d size up, but large brings on the jodhpur look in my experience with Wool& pants and the overall fit gets worse. I was disappointed to see that the back pockets are shallower when they needed to be slightly deeper. Instead, the front pockets seem deeper and I guess some people find it comfortable to walk around/hike with their giant phone in their front pocket, but I’m not one of them. You’ve probably figured out by now that unfortunately, I returned these and as someone else said, I guess I’ll wait for version 3.0. I really wish Wool& would just make the waist of their pants 2” larger without making the thighs and hips larger. They would actually fit a mature woman’s body better and by scanning reviews here and in the FB group, I’m not the only one with these same fit issues. I can walk into any store and buy pants off the rack with this problem, but can’t do that with Wool&. And, yes, I always look at the garment measurements chart and every pair of pants is a fit issue for me whether I try a medium or a large. Each size just has its own issues.

Cute, lightweight, long enough
I'm 5'10" I need a long inseam. These pants did that well. The waist fits well, the pant looks cute on, Four stars because the first time I wore them I loaded suitcases into an SUV and hopped in the car to notice that there was a snag on the fabric -- I didn't realize they were so delicate! Will be able to wear to work, travel, and around home.
