Low Shank Zig-Zag Attachment Work With Low Shank Straight Stitch Machines

Used it on my newly serviced Singer Spartan. Directions said it has 10 setting but the machine part only went to 8. When put on 1 or 2 did a good zip zag. When set on other settings through 8 did no other fancy stitches just the same zig zag with different spaces between. so, if you want a plain zig zag it works fine but don't expect anything else.

The attachment appears to be as it was shown. I tried to use it on my old Singer 201 and my 1950 Singer 221 featherweight, on stretch knit fabric with a ball point needle. The instructions that were included were confusing, and didn't relate to the settings on the attachment. I could not identify the Pin Spring shown as part 2 on my machines. I tried to do setting 8 to get a standard zigzag pattern with a long stitch length. It would do a few zigzag stitches and then a long long straight stitch.
